Projects

AGR has been involved in the following projects:

  • Educ 122, Games and Education, a first-year university course teaching educational psychology and educational game design using a series of game modules for Neverwinter Nights.
  • Games Appreciation Courses – a ten week after-school program for young high school students exploring the more thoughtful aspects of games, including their aesthetics, applications, design, narrative, and rule structures. In conjunction with Christchurch City Libraries
  • NZ Grid, also known as the ONGENS Virtual World Grid, an effort to deploy a New Zealand nation-wide grid of OpenSim servers for use in academic and educational scenarios. Members of AGR worked with staff at , the University of Canterbury, and the University of Otago on prototyping and deploying initial servers, as well in developing policy and technology recommendations.
